Tile backsplash from About Floors n More in Jacksonville, FL

Can I use wood look tile for a backsplash?

Yes, wood-look tile can be used in a backsplash.  The tiles create a unique, classic, rustic, and warm design no matter where it's used.  Backsplashes are most often thought of for kitchens, but they're also used in bathrooms or as accent walls in the living or dining space.

Inkjet Technology makes authentic wood looks possible

Tile these days, whether porcelain or ceramic squares can be made to look like anything, from wood to stone, leather, florals, chevrons, herringbone, etc.

Inkjet is digital computer technology.  Four ink colors on the tile, as opposed to the old way of painting a single color at a time.  As a result, this technology creates pixels withe images so precise you'll see every knot, grain, swirl, veining, and color variation. Even better, you can get any look whether it's contemporary, traditional, or distressed.

Porcelain is heavy, durable, and waterproof. This is also a highly decorative tile. When wood, or any image, is printed on them, they are strong enough to install just about anywhere, even outside, if you want to create a kitchen area in your barbecue space.

Because tiles are so waterproof, the wood look pieces make it ideal for use in kitchens, bathrooms or any room that's wetter than normal.

Inkjet Technology and the spa-like bathroom

Serene, spa-like atmospheres are possible when you use both glass tile and marble. Quarried marble is expensive, however, and a little more porous and softer than other stones.  The answer here would be marble tiles. The color overlays with various light and dark tones,  create the veining variations and polished look of quarried marble.

You can also use Inkjet Technology to create a unique design for the wall backsplash or a ceiling or floor. A medallion is a centerpiece or inlay, usually created out of stone.  With Inkjet Technology you can create a marble look or an intricate Greek or Roman-themed pattern or whatever you desire.

Tile is waterproof, durable, and easy to clean. Tiles printed Waterjet are durable and are usually glazed to make them even stronger to protect the finish and resist any chipping or staining.
